1 Who is the data controller?

When you visit our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to the server of our website. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without any action on your part and stored until it is automatically deleted

  • Name and URL of the retrieved file,
  • Website from which the access was made (referrer URL),

The aforementioned data is processed by us for the following purposes

  • Ensuring a comfortable use of our website,

  • for other administrative purposes.

The legal basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the data collection purposes listed above. Under no circumstances do we use the data collected for the purpose of drawing conclusions about your person.

  1. b) Contact via email/contact form

If you contact us electronically (by email or via a contact form), the personal data you send to us will be collected. This data is stored and used exclusively for the purpose of responding to your enquiry or for contacting you and the associated technical administration.

The legal basis for processing the data is our legitimate interest in responding to your request in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If your contact is aimed at the conclusion of a contract, the additional legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

Your data will be deleted after final processing of your enquiry; this is the case if it can be inferred from the circumstances that the matter in question has been conclusively clarified and provided that there are no statutory retention obligations to the contrary. After the retention period has expired, the corresponding data will be routinely deleted if it is no longer required for contract fulfilment or contract initiation and/or we have no legitimate interest in continuing to store it.

The transmission of your data via the contact form provided on the website is encrypted. Please note that you should only send encrypted emails to us in order to protect the confidentiality of your enquiry from third parties. If you wish to communicate via PGP, please let us know.

3. handling of your personal data

Your personal data will be processed solely by EGOTEC AG and will not be passed on to third parties without your prior consent. We take all necessary technical and organisational security measures to store your personal data in such a way that it is protected against unauthorised access and misuse.

When handling data, our employees are obliged to comply with the provisions of the BDSG and the GDPR as well as the various relevant national data protection laws.

To protect the security of your data during transmission, we use encryption methods (e.g. SSL) via HTTPS. Our servers are protected by firewalls and virus protection. Back-up and recovery as well as role and authorisation concepts are a matter of course for us.

4. how long is the data stored?

We adhere to the principles of data avoidance and data minimisation. We therefore only store your personal data for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purposes stated herein or for the various storage periods stipulated by law. Once the respective purpose no longer applies or these periods have expired, the corresponding data will be routinely blocked or deleted in accordance with the statutory provisions.

5 Your rights to information, rectification, blocking, erasure and objection

You have the right to obtain information about your personal data stored by EGOTEC AG at any time. You also have the right to have your personal data corrected, blocked or, apart from the prescribed data storage for business processing, deleted. Please also contact our data protection officer().

To ensure that data can be blocked at any time, this data must be stored in a lock file for control purposes. You can also request the deletion of the data, provided there is no legal archiving obligation. If such an obligation exists, we will block your data on request.

Every data subject also has the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority if they believe that the processing of their personal data violates data protection regulations. 6. use of social media

We also use social media services. However, these are not integrated on our website. However, you can access the offers of these third-party providers via a link from our site. In principle, we are not responsible for the content of third-party websites. Unless we have published our own content there.

In the event that you access YouTube via our link (Google/YouTube: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) via our link, we would like to point out that YouTube has its own data protection information and stores user data on the basis of this and uses it for business purposes.
